The Gwynt y Môr extension project, which is currently in the early stages of development, will be known as Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm, meaning Sea Breeze. The project partners are now confirmed and include RWE (60 per cent), Stadtwerke München (30 per cent) and Siemens’ financing arm, Siemens Financial Services (10 per cent).


1/16/2020  · A meeting to discuss proposals for an extension to the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm, which will be called “ Awel y Môr ” is scheduled to take place at 1830 on 28th January in Rhyl. This meeting will be attended by representatives from innogy who are working on the project. An official website for Awel y Môr is currently being set up.

August 20 (Renewables Now) – The Crown Estate has awarded seabed rights for the proposed extension to the 576-MW Gwynt y Mor wind farm off the North Wales coast, it was announced on Wednesday.
